House For Sale

This plot of land in Tumblr-land, is henceforth, vacant.

I shall be leaving Tumblr, or at least leaving in the sense of no longer keeping a personal blog. I might return to Tumblr with a different name, if it appears to be an appropriate online platform for future projects. But projects not in the sense of a personal blog.

It’s been an awesome nearly three years, starting out in late 2008 on the Blogger / Blogspot platform, moving platforms a few times, changing themes many times. This journal of sorts, has grown up hand in hand with me, documenting all the ups and downs, the laughs and the tears, the successes and the failures, the fashion wows and the fashion crimes, the good times with close friends, every memory, ever moment.

Every conversation, each comment that everyone has posted and contributed here is much treasured. These will remain fully accessible and viewable by anyone.

Any independently produced content by me, such as articles, photographs, are now freely available to anyone and liscenced under the conditions of Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.

Which now brings us to the question of “Why?”. And the shocker is I’m not leaving because of the impending exams. Neither am I leaving because I intend to study and do homework more during the extra time created.

Let’s just say that a series of readings and inspirations led to the conclusion that anything is possible if you shoot for the skies and ask for the moon. There are a couple of ideas which I have been having for a few years now, firstly about the role of design in solving problems of the modern world, secondly and perhaps more significantly, about the future of the way we organize and communicate information and knowledge.

I will need the extra time created to pursue these ideas.

One day decades from now when I decide to sit down and write my Life’s Story, I’m sure that the stuff contained in this journal will be delightfully revisited. For now, there are ideas and projects which I need to give time and mind space. And I think that is how I will live this life. Creating, thinking, making new ideas, turning convention upside down, disrupting the norm, every day, every moment, until the curtains come down and the fat lady sings.

Until then, for the joy, the laughs, the lessons, the adventure of a lifetime…

Thank You.
